Below day tours covers four major cities Kandy, Pinnawala, Nuwaraeliya, Kithulgala. 

Day 1: Colombo to Kandy via Pinnawala

Morning leave for Kandy. Visit elephant orphanage at Pinnawela and a tea factory en route. Tourists can short visit to Pinnawala Elephant Dung Paper Factory located in close proximity to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

(Schedule –  08.30 hours – Open to visitors / 09.15 hours – Bottle feeding / 10.00 hours – Herd leaving to the river /12.00 hours – Return from the river/13.15 hours – Bottle feeding/14.00 hours – Herd leaving to the river/16.00 hours – Return from the river/17.00 hours – Bottle feeding/18.00 hours – Close to public)

Elephant orphanage at Pinnawela

Visit the golden roofed Dalada Maligawa, Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of The Buddha, shop for handicrafts, gems & jewellery. Many interesting old temples close-by. Witness a Kandyan Dance Performance by night. Overnight stay in Kandy. Cultural Show at Kandy Arts Association (near Tooth Temple) is 5.20 PM to 6.30 PM.

Day 2: Kandy to Nuwaraeliya via Ramboda Pass

Early morning, proceed to Nuwara Eliya through Ramboda Pass - Beautiful scenery, 6187 feat. above sea level - tea carpetted hills, Ramboda waterfall (329 feat), Hakgala Botanical Gardens. Back to Colombo through Ginigathhena.

You can see the Devon Falls, Saint Clair Waterfalls en route. May stop for lunch at Kitulgala, location of the famous film Bridge on the River Kwai. Now, getting famous for white-water rafting in the Kelani river with encounters of grade 2 & 3 rapids.
